Chelsea Handler Talks To The Big O About 50 Cent And André Balazs!

If this week has reaffirmed anything for us, it’s that you just NEVER know what’s going to come out of Chelsea Handler‘s mouth!
The late night comedienne has been on a roll going after the likes of Taylor Swift and Angelina Jolie for their choices in love, but on the upcoming episode of Oprah‘s Next Chapter, she sits down with the talk show icon to discuss her OWN past and present romantic entanglements!
And YES, that includes her highly publicized dalliance with 50 Cent!
When asked whether she has a preference for African Americans, Chelsea responded:
“I’ve dated black guys. I know I had a public relationship with one that obviously was very public. He’s a great guy, his persona is completely antithetical to who he is in real life. He’s a sweetheart and he’s so cute, you just wanna, like, hang from his neck. It was fun, it wasn’t the most serious relationship but he came on my show and sent me a bunch of flowers.”
Of course, when it comes to if her current boyfriend, hotelier André Balazs, is the love of her life:
“Yes, I’ve met my match. I’ve met him, definitely. My boyfriend and I, we’ve broken up a couple of times, we’ve gotten back together and we’re trying to figure out how to live a life together. He’s all over the world, I have to be in L.A. for my show for a certain amount of time and he’s opening up hotels everywhere…But when you really want to be with someone, you can make that work. But you don’t want it to be uneven, you know. If I’m going to London for you for a week for your business, going out and having to go out to dinner and drinks and be funny and engaging—you better hit me back!”
Aww! Modern relationships certainly aren’t easy, but we think it’s so admirable that she know she wants to make it work with him, despite their personal and professional differences, and is willing to make the time and the effort to ensure that their relationship is the best it can possibly be!
Keep on striving for that balance, gurl!
